Dr. Behringer attended the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Seton Hill, Pennsylvania, and completed his residency at Franciscan Health St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields, Illinois. A Western New York native, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University at Buffalo.
Dr. Matthew Behringer is a general surgeon who specializes in laparoscopic, robotic and routine surgeries involving diverticulitis, hernias, gallbladder issues, and bowel resections. He also performs several procedures with local anesthesia such as cyst, lipoma, and benign skin mass removal. In addition to these procedures, Dr. Behringer is also able to provide an in-office banding treatment for patients that suffer from hemorrhoids.
