As part of our pracspinal-exposure-thumbtice, Dr. Rasmusson works with area spine surgeons to create a pathway to the spine allowing for vertebrae fusion, artificial disc placement and other procedures. Our exposure methods allow the spine surgeon to then use cutting edge techniques and/or implants that significantly improve the success rate of spine surgery.

In order to access the spine, a general surgeon needs to perform an anterior tunnel so the spinal surgeon can perform the surgery from the front of the body rather than the back. This is clinically superior for many procedures. And, because of the work involved in getting through organs and blood vessels, is a collaborative effort.

Furthermore, spinal exposure surgery can be done using minimally invasive surgical techniques. This helps reduce scarring and speeds up recovery time.
